Katie Kat

Dennis wanted some photos of Katie - so here they are.

We rescued her from a place where she was getting badly treated. As you can see one side of her face is twisted and one eye doesn't close properly because of scar tissue. She is a sweet thing though, very gentle and loving even after the experiences she has been through. She was feral when we first got her - thin, unkempt, wild and frightened - as you can see she is right at home now!!!

I actually thinks she believes she has died and gone to Heaven - in a basket!! If you need to find her - look in a basket....

........or a box!!!

Katie is beautiful

I think so too. She's very beautiful and she looks so sweet. She looks like Zoe, my elder son's cat. I will post a photo of Zoe soon. She is so funny. When you talk to her she answers (every time).

Dear Jules, thanks for coming over to Vienna, taking a walk in the sunset and leaving your kind comment.
I was stunned when I came across your Vietnam blog and found these incredible pictures with an atmosphere that fascinated me immediately.
I have not yet found the time to take a close look but have you on my side bar and I WILL soon.
Now I discovered the picture of the little Katie Kat! The most lovely pictures! And her story!
We also have a little dog which we took from Italy. We were on vacation and the dog was abandoned and looking for a new home. We took her with us. This is 4 year ago and we got used to keeping a dog in a city with 2 million inhabitants, and the dog also got used to life among cars and leaches.
But what I love most about the dog is when she rolls together like a croissant like your cat does and sleeps. This looks so peaceful...
Nice to meet you and hear from you again, hugs, Maria

Thanks marie - like you I love animals and what appals me most is to see sick and abandoned and mistreated ones - good on you for taking this lovey dog under your wing - they bring us so much joy in return!!!!

Oh yes, they bring us so much joy in return.
I smile when I write this!
Thanks for coming over to my blog! I love to posts pictures where the colours are special!

Jules, thanks so much for your comment. I have just met your beautiful Katie. My heart bleeds when I hear or see animals badly treated. It is such a crime! At least Katie was lucky to be rescued, she seems to have a lot of fun now. So, you are a country girl, Jules. I am too, (an old one)! My family and I lived in the Northern Rivers area on a grazing property. We had Hereford cattle. Now, I live since nearly 20 years in the Currumbin Valley.

How is it, that they can be so content in a little basket, but then sprawl all over the couch where I want to sit for our evening movie?!

the one in the basket is precious.

What do you mean thinks he has gone to heaven--he has...you heard that saying that we feed and pet our dogs and they think we are God, but we feed and pet our cats, and they think, 'I am God.'

I read your comment on Tom's blog about the Internet. You made me laugh....

I meant 'she' has gone to heaven...
